(Olomouc, 12.6.2024) This Saturday the Mattoni Running Festival will start in Olomouc, which also includes the traditional Olomouc Half Marathon. Thousands of runners will flood the city's streets and tackle the challenging 21-kilometre route. But a novelty is the morning Šantovka run with a length of five kilometers. This year's partners of the popular sports event, Galerie Šantovka and REDSTONE Group, have prepared an attractive accompanying program for runners and fans. Come and tune in to a sports performance or cheer!
“We are proud to support this exceptional sporting event that brings joy to runners and supporters alike. The whole city will be setting their sights on the race field throughout the day and it's always an attractive spectacle. We will also actively participate in the program, both through fan zones and directly for sports racing. The organizer RunCzech together with us has created a new race Šantovka 5 km Run, which will lead from Horní náměstí through the city center. It starts at 9 o'clock and starts the whole running festival,” says Petr Hlávka, spokesman for Šantovka Gallery and REDSTONE Group.
The Šantovka Gallery has prepared a rich program within its fan zone, which will be located under a footbridge in front of the shopping center. Visitors can enjoy a musical score, such as saxophonist Milda Pilus and then a DJ show. Relax in the chill out zone with RetroJKA mixed drinks and prosecco from the World of Bubbles. The program will also include creative workshops (“make your own sneaker”), a bouncy castle for children or themed competitions on treadmills, where those interested can try out what it is like to run as a marathon runner. The development group REDSTONE will have its zone in Upper Square. From 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the evening, runners and fans alike can visit the refreshment corner and chill out zone. They can also be filmed in a 360° video corner or compete in a round of fortune to win drinks or energy cookies cookies.
