Reconstruction of Château Escot is underway

The Château Escot wine estate has undergone extensive building modernization after many years. The production premises will be renovated and in the middle of this year construction work will also begin on the castle. But it is not only renovation, it is also about the construction of new buildings. It is these days that intensive construction work on the new production section is underway. Currently, concrete floor slabs, perimeter reinforced concrete structures and building linings are being realized.Construction work is scheduled to be completed in 2025. The resulting form of the production part of the winery will consist of six buildings. These will be buildings that will serve as facilities for materials and technology (building A), staff facilities (object B), bottle storage (object C), office space (building D), production building (E) and barrel cellar with tasting room (object F). The aim is to increase both the quality of wine production and to help the winery's ambitions to strengthen its position within the renowned wine region. Last but not least, it also increases the prestige of the town of Lesparre. At the same time, these modernization plans are synchronized in time with the launch of a reclassification under Cru Bourgeois, which will take new account of aspects of ecological sustainability.
